Robotic Surgery
Dr. Siegal proudly offers robotic surgery to all of Southwest Florida including Fort Myers, Naples, and Cape Coral. He is robotic trained and certified and has offers a fully robotic surgical practice.

Take a Closer Look
What is Robotic Surgery?
Robotic surgery is an advanced form of minimally invasive surgery that uses a robotic system to help Dr. Siegal perform precise, controlled movements during an operation. Although it might sound like a robot does the surgery, the surgeon is in full control the entire time, using the robotic tools to achieve greater precision, dexterity, and flexibility while having unparalleled high definition surgical imaging.
How Robotic Surgery Works
During robotic surgery, your surgeon sits at a special console near the operating table. They view the surgical area in high definition through a camera and guide the robotic arms, which hold small instruments designed for delicate, precise movements. These tools can move in ways human hands can’t, allowing for greater precision during surgery.
Robotic vs. Laparoscopic Surgery
Both robotic and laparoscopic surgery involve small incisions and the use of a camera for better visualization, resulting in less pain and faster recovery than traditional open surgery. While laparoscopic surgery requires the surgeon to use hand-held tools directly, robotic surgery adds an extra level of precision by enabling the surgeon to operate through robotic instruments. This helps with even greater range of motion and control, especially in complex procedures.
Latest technology
We use the Intuitive Surgical robotic system, a leader in robotic-assisted surgery technology. Intuitive’s brand-new dv5 machine takes robotic surgery to the next level with even sharper imaging, more advanced instruments, and enhanced safety features. This means we can provide you with the latest, most effective technology for a smooth procedure and recovery.
